ABOUT
Hello, I'm Mrs. Godsey your child's 2nd grade teacher. I am excited to teach your child this year.
I have been teaching for 14 years. I have taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades. I have been teaching 2nd grade at Maize Elementary for 9 years. I really enjoy teaching 2nd grade.
I have a psychology degree from The Ohio State University. I earned my teaching degree in Elementary Education 1-8 from Ohio Dominican College and I have a Master's Degree in Intergrating Technology into the Classroom from Walden University. I use technology in my daily teaching and the students are often on the computers and the internet. So please make sure you sign those consent forms.
On a personal note I have been married for 15 years. I have two children and two giant breed dogs. We enjoy riding bikes, swimming, taking the dogs for a walk and just spending time together as a family.

Behavior Calendar
Many students are forgetting their yellow folders and behavior calendars. This is a major form of communication between school and home and allows you to be able to stay aware of how your child is doing in the classroom. Please make sure you are seeing and signing the calendar every night!

Please make sure your child is doing their homework every night. The only night I don't send homework home is Friday.
